Meet the Owner: Johnny Lee

Construction has always been in our family. When I was around 12 and 13 years old, I started off as a laborer for my uncle. He also has two children around my age, and we would go out and help tear off shingles, clean up the ground, carry bundles up ladders, and carry materials up ladders—anything that involved laboring at the young age we were. We weren't sure what we wanted to do, but I was determined to learn everything there was about roofing.

From there, I would help my father do interior work, and I would help friends do other exterior work, such as gutters, siding, and concrete. Around 19 years old, I started working with a company, and the owner of that company gave me a lot of insight and pushed me to motivate me to open up my own company. At that point, I did everything I could to save money to buy a truck, tools, and everything I needed to start my own company. I started rounding up guys and getting everything situated for six years as John Lee, and in 2017, that's when I actually started up my company name, ALT & ALT.

At the end of the day, family comes first, and that's the principle we operate by at ALT & ALT. We treat our customers like family and strive to provide them the best possible experience, just as we would for our loved ones.

She also strives for the highest quality and collaboration with her business partners to procure the best outcomes, providing clients with answers to every aspect of their roofing needs.

With a firm grasp of the value behind systems and processes, Iva is part of a team where consistency and efficiency underlie every roofing project they complete. Iva moved from Ocala, Florida, to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, in 2004, where she has chosen to raise her family and work among her friends and neighbors, improving the local community.

Iva's true love is her family, and it is clear that nothing in her life matters more. As a single mother of two girls and two grandchildren, Iva understands the importance of being a role model, both personally and professionally, so they can be proud of her hard work every day.
